Australia Rent Car is an independent car hire comparison website for travellers in Australia.
We compare car hire from international brands such as Hertz, Avis, Budget, Europcar and Sixt and from Australian and local suppliers such as East Coast Car Rentals, Bargain Car Rentals and Redspot, at airports, city centres and depots across every state and territory.
What we do
- Compare total cost. Airport surcharges, young-driver fees, one-way fees and fuel can add a third or more to a rental. Our pages and the real cost calculator show what affects the total before you book.
- Explain the rules. Tolls, unsealed roads, ferries, deposits and excess differ by supplier and by state. Our guides say what to check and where the rental agreement has the final word.
- Help you plan. Pick-up guides for airports and cities, one-way route guides and road-trip guides with distances and driving times.
How we make money
Searching and comparing is free. When you book a car through our search, we earn a commission from our booking partner or the rental supplier. The commission does not change the price you pay, and it does not decide the order of results: results are sorted by total price unless you choose another sort. What we are not
We are not a rental company. Your rental contract is with the supplier shown in your booking, and the supplier confirms the final price, fees, excess, deposit and conditions. Always read the rental conditions before you pay.
