One-way trips from Melbourne
Ask whether Budget allows your drop-off city; any one-way fee is shown before you book.
Budget Melbourne questions
Short answers. Details depend on your booking.
Where can I collect a Budget rental car in Melbourne?
Search Melbourne Airport, the city centre or a suburban depot. Your voucher shows the exact Budget desk or depot address and opening hours.
Is Budget cheaper at Melbourne Airport or in the city?
It depends on the dates. Airport pick-ups can include a location fee, so compare the Budget total for both before you choose.
Can I return a Budget car from Melbourne in another city?
Often yes, as a one-way rental where Budget has a location at your drop-off. Any fee is shown in the total.
What do I need to collect a Budget car in Melbourne?
A full licence held for at least a year, a credit card in the main driver’s name and your voucher. Carry an International Driving Permit if your licence is not in English.
How are tolls charged on a Budget rental in Melbourne?
CityLink and EastLink in Melbourne are cashless. Tolls are usually billed to you with an admin fee. Ask Budget how tolls are billed and whether an admin fee applies.
