The Explorer’s Way at a glance

The Explorer’s Way follows the Stuart Highway about 3,000 km from Adelaide to Darwin, roughly the path of explorer John McDouall Stuart. The main road is sealed, but distances are huge and detours such as Uluru (about 450 km each way from Alice Springs) add days. The dry season, May to September, is the most comfortable time to go.
